When you visit the TransUnion web site to obtain a copy of your credit profile, personal information is required in order to process the request and perform identity verification. This information may include your name, mailing address (current and previous), date of birth, phone number, the name of your employer, and other information. In addition, we collect information about your credit card so that we can process the payment of your request. We capture this information to ensure that your credit profile is delivered to you and that you are protected against an unauthorised person obtaining a copy of your credit profile. TransUnion also may use this information to update our consumer credit database.

Personal info is any and all of the information specific to you that you provide us over the Internet which you enter on the online registration form for a credit enquiry. Certain information, such as passwords and email addresses, is collected in order to, amongst other things, verify your identity and confirm currently stored information in our record system. Information collected at TransUnion's web sites may be used to update our consumer and/or business credit profiles. Our consumer and business credit profiles are available only to business customers who have a permissible purpose and the consumer or business themselves. We limit the type of information that we disclose to business customers based on the balance between their needs, permissible purpose and the likely consumer benefit.

Disclosure of information
TransUnion cannot ensure that all your personal identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not described in this Privacy Policy. We may be required to disclose the information to government or by court order under certain circumstances, or other situations may arise requiring such disclosure and we in our sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate.
In no event however, will TransUnion disclose any of your personal financial information.

Anti-spam policy
TransUnion will never sell your email address to third parties for purposes of email spamming. You will never be sent unsolicited advertisements - only messages from TransUnion to which you have subscribed, and to which you may unsubscribe at any time.

TransUnion offers the user the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communication from us at any point where we request information about you. This can be done by way of a single click cancellation from all email communications (unsubscribe) facility.
